Always

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

The Age of Voices

"

Always

Visions of antecedent
Moorings cut away from the tide
Voices coagulating into wounds of a nation
Protest rises like a dead horse hide
Ali, Mailer, King, Kent State anger
Define the overwhelming roar
Generation of our days
Men mightier than swords
Fallen soldiers screaming justice
I am filled with eyes,
Eyes that find the depth of being
In a trance of consciousness
that finds a home in the soul of evermore.

I'm in touch with a service rep for the VFW. Victor digs deep into American history, foreign policy, government relations with the corporate structure. In essence he fuels some one my passions. If you want I could forward his news letter to you?

As always Jacob......thank you for your continued support. I feel fortunate to know a fine poet.

Regards,
Al

our generation surely did scream for justice...those screams seem more silent now...and yet there are still so many screams from the violence--why are there not more screams against it?

such impact here, Al.

My stirrings like Jacob continue to move me in ways I never knew were possible. Oh the down right tragedy of it all.

Thanks KL!

Al

What a beautiful way to encompass so many thoughts, and to tribute greats of all stripes in the process.
