Merrier

Merrier

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

like a Santa we know

"

Merrier

A slow tale of beauty recedes into itself
hiding its pathway to unfortunate eyes
Once a big snooper tried hard to find her way
but the tale of beauty had tricks that turned it away
When the merrier of ancient time heard the news strike his ear
He sent an army of snoopers to find what he held dear.
On a morning in April with the sun all divine
The merrier held the tale of beauty in the bosom of all time.

Thanks Ethan!

Pryde hit the nail square. See her reply. I find randomness over purposefulness to be my choice because of its magic.

Al

Yah, its hard to use concrete description to convey abstract forms. You kinda lost me man :/

Oh Pryde, Beautiful Pryde!

Absolutely correct but the urge to write something pretty overwhelmed me.

Thanks E,

For your thoughtfulness you meandered off the path. I feel KL came much closer.

Thank KL,

Yes hints of religion gloss over the meaning but it didn't want it to seem doctrinaire.

It may be best to let good things come to you and not go snooping for what cannot be found ... am i close?

i am puzzling over this one ..i looked up merrier just to be sure i was missing a meaning (did not know it could mean a season or a good natured drunk) as well as cheerful ...
anyway i did read it several times and my thoughts are that it is about beauty ..and how illusory it can be especially "..for unfortunate eyes" that are kind of blind looking in a mirror ... and even when one has it (as opinions go) age takes it ..every time ... but all that is guessing ..i like that it is wrapped up at the end (tho it is only a sense of it for me) i think "snooper" is a little bit on the corny side .. :( i love the first line and the last line especially .. they are thoughtful and hold some hidden meaning for me :)

For me this has strong religious allusions. I could be way off, but in my head this is how Easter is more important than Christmas.
