The Beauty of Yourself

The Beauty of Yourself

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz

in humble's essence

The Beauty of Yourself

When the day of bruised tears fades
Your inner view shines in glazed wonder
Upon stepping stones traveled
in increments of joy and sorrow
you come upon yourself
Resilient, a lover of the moment,
the green of grass, a blue of sky
Alas, you see it all, knowing your soul
is awash in the beauty of yourself.

Thanks Jacob!

Yes I agree! All the darkness I experienced is a mouthful and more, yet, here I am having this wonderful moment with you.

Regards,
Al

Thanks Paloma!

I didn't notice you initially. The world of the moment is indeed a simple wonder.

people are more resilient than we give them credit for...through the joys and sorrows, we move on and on and on.

i love it! a montra that can be sung every day .. one small edit perhaps ..days fade ..instead of days fades ;)
your poem is the end result of a lot of "stuff" having been gone through .. the very positive tenor of your poem is what blesses me most ..
