Frozen in a Pause

Frozen in a Pause

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Nam in the cycle of the mind

"

Frozen in a Pause

Frozen in my pause
I listen to eternity's silence
Grow deeper into the absolute sound of nothing

I hear there silence
I can reach out, touch them all the way to Nam
I near infinity's door as they draw near
awaiting, awaiting for me in my turn.

A dark chapter in American psyche as other wars that history and people kept and keep reexamining the wisdom or futility behind them. Soldiers who live them daily in their minds and can't dust off the weight and impact they had on them like Nam.
An excellent sharing and hopefully life will go on...:)..............

Deeply introspective write....Nam meaning Vietnam? I don't think any of my friends who went there came home as the same beings. War stays with a person...always. Powerful words, Al. Lydi**
