The Paradise of Speech

The Paradise of Speech

A mildness seems to cover our exchange of words
Oh yes........Vietnam.....war was something we breathed
Our close proximity envelopes the moment
We share our shadows, discover each tour of duty,
the friendliness borders on a paradise of sorts
I am grateful for his sacrifice as he is of mine
We thank, we give blessings, we move our separate ways
Always I remember these moments as God speaking to us
in familiar ways.

Thanks Jacob!

I can't tell you how many of these moments I lived with fellow veterans but there is always a kind of paradise among these men.

Regards,
Al
