I Bid You Adieu

I Bid You Adieu

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

sleep comes

"
I Bid You Adieu

Breath visits
among a long silence
I gaze my room
adorn with art
visits of no one knock
at the door
I smile knowing
No need to rise
yet I rise
in the temperature
of my own being
smiles cross horizons
I’m anxious for the warm sheets of bed
Words of “Concerning the Spiritual in Art”
wrapped around my eyes
I bid you adieu all
My lovely companions of silence
