In My Togetherness with You

In My Togetherness with You

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz

In My Togetherness with You

If you should come by the nexus of my living
and dying words
Grieve not for I understand the tale of me
In memories both bold & thin I come to this
day knowing the state of me
Forever laughter shall not be my stock & trade
Allow my humbleness to let you see
that I allow the sad & happy as part of me
So let me give you the joys I know
and feel the sorry of my woes.

This is a sweetly gentle poem offering both the highs & lows of being human & being together. I love it when a love poem shows life realistically like this. To me, feeling each other’s feelings is the main reason for togetherness. Great job of injecting originality into a love poem! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
