A Hint of Debra Leidner...whoa!

A Hint of Debra Leidner...whoa!

A Story by Alfred Kukitz
"

my buddy’s widow

"

a hint of DeBrA LeIDnEr...........whoa!

did i just see her running down the hallway? why DeBrA are you there? she whistled to me, the sound running all over the house. IS THAT HER? can you hear me dEbRa lEiDnEr? i know she’s there. making herself sparse but i’m sure she cares. LOOK she sent a balloon, red, green, yellow filled with her spoon. no doubt a balloon champion that’s just her style. will you please show yourself so i can see your smile.
i see her as poem; i see her as life; i see her as a wonderful child. come out, come out wherever you are. i miss DeBrA LeIDnEr she’s far like a star. will you come out and share that far away star?

Thanks Sami!

It's the "I can't stop thinking about her" while poetry sits in the back corner feeling dejected.

I get the feeling that your buddy is the narrator of this imaginative little vignette. I love the way you tell this story so that the bridge between life & death is blurred. We’re not sure if this guy is looking for a real live woman or the ghost of his beloved. I’ve always been of the mind that a loved one hangs around after dying to continue keeping us in line. I love the way you are so imaginative, adding weird spellings & capitalizations to keep your writing quirky & mysterious (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I think you have the hots for her. A widow needs a good man anyway. Hope you are the one.

A wonderful story shared. I could see DeBra sharing a whistle and escaping. Thank you Alfred for sharing the amazing poetry.
