It's only the beginning

A poem about the world today

A deviant of us, one who enjoys the panic,

The true sign of an individual going manic,

Who will be there to hear the fright?

The prayers and the oncoming light?

There is apprehension from the deeds,

Tension for the people that will bleed,

Condescending, it may seem,

But the mind is only so keen,

Who will be there to save us?

From all the terror and bloodlust?

This is only the beginning,

But soon will come the hymns and singing.
