The Wandering Thoughts

The Wandering Thoughts

A Poem by Spirit

Rake through the sand that parallels the sky,
This is your universe.
Walking, pacing, running, sprinting fast!
Follow me.
I'll show you the way.
Through the streets we fly,
Just two people caught up in time.
Take me down.
Take me under.
Along I path of foggy horizons I follow,
Take me anywhere.
Sitting. Standing. Singing out.
I'm here.
Here I am.
May my call reverberate through,
Echoing my gratitude back to you.
To stormy skies I surrender!
May lightening ignite my heart,
The thunder, well, may it awake my soul.
Let me fall now,
Slip back into time,
Winding backwards to these seconds.
Falling!
Falling!
Down the rabbit hole we fall.
Into the tornado we soar.
Into this endless cycle of watching our lives pass by,
Whether in the moment or in our mind's eye.
You can see everything.

I love the last three lines -
"Into this endless cycle of watching our lives pass by,
Whether in the moment or in our mind's eye.
You can see everything." - That's actually true. We always end up watching our lives fly by and end up regretting things we didn't do. Good job.
