Rag Doll

Rag Doll

A Poem by A.M. Everlasting

At the seams of my life I am bursting,

For the tiniest reprieve I am thirsting,

Drowning in this unending sea,

Of all the things I expect of me.

The cold and icy waters chilling,

My very essence they are killing,

Until the threads that held me fall,

And I’m nothing but a mere rag doll.
