outside the.....

outside the.....

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Someone once said
Think outside the box.
So I did.
Nothing's happening!
I feel lost
How do I get back inside......
The BOX!!
My thoughts naked,
Vulnerable, open,
Subjected to the weather.
I'm never leaving
My CIRCLE again!

Lol
Where is the box
Who took the box
Who turned off the lights

its amazing how our familiar grounds keep us earthed
But stepping out is essential for growth

Thank you MD for your kind words and I look forward to visiting yours :)
I like your take on this metaphor of thinking outside the box, it was fun and the use of the Circle being your comfort ...very clever!!

Thank you my friend JT
Ha we all like our comfort zones. Getting outside the box can indeed expose us Andrew but more so the actions than the thinking lol! Nice neatly expressed sentiment with a touch of learned defiance at the end.
