We were first! We were!

We were first! We were!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

A posse of ants marched
Around the corner.
One, Edmund Hilary
Looked up and saw
The apple of his eye.
Twin peaks, each with
A cherry on top;
A topless woman sun-baking.

He climbed, he took a bite
Unaware of his consequences
From his actions, she let out
A loud proverbial "Ouch! You little f**k!"
Followed by a almighty slap.
Harder than he expected.

Crushed, immobilised
Somewhat fatal.
He fell, from over
Five hundred ant stories high.
In outrage, the posse
Galloped around in circles;
Paused, regrouped, deliberated.

Then took their friend
To the ant recycling spare parts plant.
As for twin peaks you ask
She was never seen again.

Excerpts from the OLD ANT TESTAMENT
                         " We were here first!"
Next week.
Nick the nit hangs onto
Her short and curlies
From an impeding tsunami
Of shower gel lather.

Excerpts from the NEW INSECTS TESTAMENT
                         " We were here first too!"

Andrew, Andrew, Andrew...this is as unique as it gets, my friend, and so damn entertaining...you write these clever pieces with such fluidity and what you post is never, ever, dull... I want to break this down into what I love most but i cannot...from Sir Edmund climbing for a bite, through the parts plant and onto the coming attractions, this is pure genius... well-done, my friend.,..bravo :D

I shall never look at a group of ants the same again! My steps shall be better calculated, to give my utmost admiration to their society!

How's that? ; )
