Dressed in red, naked!

Dressed in red, naked!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Dressed in red, naked!
You could not run,
the smoke had started.
dressed in red,
billowing high,
radiating heat,
signalling goodbyes.
She bled those dry
now black souls rise
while crows cry,
night time skies.
She left,
bricks and mortar
littering the grounds;
crumbled carcasses
today's surrounds.
In what was green
burnt sheep stand
defiant wondering......
"What happened!"

"She bled those dry

Prettiest stanza over here, in my opinion. I love how you expressed nighttime by giving it negative connotations and providing vivid imagery.
