A Poem by andrew mitchell

The queue was bigger at the end of the line.
I was no further
from the truth
as I was to birth,
but I was getting closer
to death with every breath.
I'm lucky so far......
I'm taking the slow road
but other poor souls
speed by......
they took the escalator.
