The elusive window to her soul.

The elusive window to her soul.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The elusive window to her soul.
I could never see her soul
let alone look inside,
I could never find the window,
you know....
the one which read
in case of emergency
   Break Glass.
It was an emergency!

I like your sense of humor (born of Australia no doubt). The tongue-in-cheek quality of your poetry is refreshing, as far too many poets are far too serious far too often (myself included no doubt).

What a superb and subtle use of metaphor. An excellent piece. I really like this.
