About my expiry date.

About my expiry date.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

About my expiry date.
I'm not the one to worry,
I'm not looking for my death,
but Mr Reaper has his way
of introducing himself at one's door;
unexpected, uninvited.
Just a little scare,
a tiny reminder,
I'm here, I'm waiting,
I have your ticket.
So, I've taken precautions;
I've removed the welcome mat,
changed the letter box numerals,
the door is locked,
the windows latched shut,
and the security camera's are in place.
I've cancelled the casket!
All that's left now
is dealing with  Mr Time.
Can I buy ten blocks please!
