A Poem by andrew mitchell

I shot the poem but I did not kill the vocabulary! Oh no!
I shot the poem,
but I did not
kill the vocabulary.
Oh no!
All around the ink town
they're trying to track me down,
to bring me in guilty,
for the killing...
for the killing of the vocabulary....
the killing of the vocabulary.
Out I say!
I shot the poem,
but I did not
kill the vocabulary.
Oh no!
I shot the poem,
but I swear
it was in
self defence,
my self preservation.

clever poetic take on "I shot the Sheriff"----

and that deputy was full of good vocabulary---and had the badge to prove it.
