A Poem by andrew mitchell

It's not the audience that's behind the times.
News travels slowly in God's camp,
when the Pope says.
" The war must end in Syria!"
Many non believers had these views
long ago when the war started.
Too late the delivery lost
as the Pope cried.
Behind the times, yet again!
Wake up Catholic Church of Rome!
Stop counting your wealth
and start sharing.
On your quest for gold
your crusade is over,
riches may lie in Rome,
but the homeless lie
in gutters still
believing, but
questioning your truth,
now betrayed.

It is moral responsibility of powerful and rich to share and distribute a percent of what they have to poor and needy but very few in this world practice it. Instead some keep on filling their pockets through wrongful means. This poem invoked these deep thoughts inside me, Andrew.
A very nice poem ! A war must end in Syria as well as in the rest of places of the world.
Thanks for sharing this amazing poetry and insightful words.

Thank you dear poet
We can just look at the pictures of that country on the news and see there is nothing left to fight for, the invaders seem to have destroyed it all not just human life. If they win..what is left for them to take? Valentine
