The lost worlds?

The lost worlds?

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The lost worlds?
There were no
lands of tomorrow,
no paradise,
no heavens above
as one thought,
as I searched hard
in my dreams,
left empty handed,
but dark dank places,
harbouring worms
that ate into
the eye spaces
of a mind that
held thy brains
in a skull.

stunning write, enjoyed the poignant, macabre imagery depicting cynicism & the feeling of indeed being lost, etc.
