The portal to nothing.

The portal to nothing.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Underneath the stars
lies the apprehension
that the heavens above
is all but a myth,
and one foot in the grave
does not mean the other foot
is placed in heaven.

The voice from shadows made
fade to oblivion
drifting to the infinite
space of no more,
souls scream their warning,
absorbed by the black-hole,
and disappear
to the far reaches of space
leading to a portal of nothing.

We may never understand the Thought that -- there are things Man will never know.. in spite of attempts to make 1 + 1 = 3.

These days your posts sway from smiles to furrowed brows: fleeting fun: lasting depth.

You are a scientist now and a poet. Amazing is your talent. " Nothing " like it.
