The Egg debate!

The Egg debate!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

It didn't matter today
whether Humpty Dumpty fell from the wall
in a new world of political correctiveness
all that mattered was Humpty
free range or barn laid?

His egg frozen
until one day
 he could be safely eaten
poached or fried.

Meanwhile a hen crosses the road.
Did the hen know?
Was Humpty manhandled inappropiately
before he cracked?

Who knows!
It's all very eggciting!

Next week in the news
Little Red Riding Hood
was found to be a meat lover
and the big bad wolf
was found to be vegetarian after all.
Go figure! Who was really bad!

Why thank you Al, yes the world has become very petty on that score.
yes indeed sir ..this reminds me of some of the cartoons of 20s and 30s ... political correctiveness be damned
i think Humpty should call the ACLU .. they will free the tax payers of the yolk of burdensome money on his behalf .. no matter how they twist the tale..who told him to sit the wall...how high or low is it ..either way ..was OSHA involved ..probably not they say..no hard hat ..thats another million for OUR coffers .. we'll turn Humpty over to some artists..they can paint and paste the shells on a collage or something ..he'll still have some dignity ..bruahahahahaha! strong closing sir! spot on says i!
