Life in the field!

Life in the field!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Life
a field of green
to graze on
but you're the blade of grass;
sometimes you get mowed
while others get trodden on,
the unlucky get dumped on.
Meanwhile,
living next door to cactus....
she was safe from vegans
not even a moo.

what kind of cactus is she sir!? ... i read a little bit just this morning on Walt Witman's leaves of grass and how his poem went from one blade of grass to it representing the universe .. or some such thing ... he missed quite a bit however, if i am to admit the keeping it real grass in "Life in a Field" ;)
