The writer's chalice.

The writer's chalice.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

From a cup of ink floweth
the thoughts
the chalice contains
to spill onto paper
in the form of
a writer's sermon-
a symbolic travesty
on the meaning of life
where the pen travels
alone in its wake.

"a writer's sermon-
a symbolic travesty"
interesting conflict of intent says i! as writers/poets do hold honesty high in our attempts ..i suppose the reality is that we will fall short every time ... its those sparkling moments of coming close however that make it all so worth trying over and over again ;) and again we strive to be unique ..and so alone ..what an interesting thought and view point ... i like the chalice and the cup floweth ...;)
