Not witchcraft, wordcraft.

Not witchcraft, wordcraft.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

In the calling hour
of darkness
thoughts move
in the shadows
of my mind.
Awake,
bewitched by the pen
I  am compelled to
write down the thoughts
that have a spell on me.

I love your word choice of feeling compelled. Sometimes, it just drives me to stop what I'm doing, and get to that keyboard. Good to see you, Andrew!

Haha thank you for your words Jacob.
I love this. Clean & direct, sparkling like a chunk of onyx. I am also bewitched by the urge to spill my words! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

As always thank you Margie for your kind words.😀
Very poetic and lovely. Th spell can be the forces of the unknown, the moods of the moment and the inspiration behind it all. Pens are mighty swords or healing balms depending on the writer. I love the title and the poem sir Mitchell.

Hahaha. Thank you kindly sir Mitchell. You are welcome.
The events of the day do cast a "Spell" upon us
when we unwind and have a mind to pen a
poem according to our mood. I feel foolish,
so I will write a foolish poem.... my friend.
as ever, Pat
