Sit down son.

Sit down son.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Hey Dad!
Yes son!
Dad, some of the kids in our street
are getting cars bought by
their dads. Am I gonna get one too?
Okay son, sit down
I'm gonna tell you some advice
I was given by my father
when I was your age.
What's that Dad?
You better start saving son.

Ha! I think that’s an echo from what I heard in 1984. Not sure if I ever asked directly, but I knew the answer. Those sit downs shape not only who drives what later but character. A good story-lesson in a short poem.
