A collector's thought vanishes.

A collector's thought vanishes.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

A collector's thought -
he who thinks
he has it all
has nothing more
than his shadow
in the end.

One gets lost
in a cast
of shadows
their footsteps
cannot be heard,
however they whisper
and spread.

I saw a shadow once,
it moved in time with me,
but all the time I watched it,
it disappeared with me.

Shadows do that, don't they? And yet I very seldom see mine out after dark ... must be too late for him.

I like the philosophical bent to this Andrew, well done.

Take care ... stay safe

Nicely penned Andrew. Made me think of that old song, Me and My Shadow. Hope you are OK.
