The Midas torch.

The Midas torch.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

As your thoughts leaned
on the mantelpiece
my thoughts lie
where you put me
as you stoked my
ashes once more
in the fireplace.
How my heart
of gold with silver kisses
fell for your Midas touch.
