A poetic urge

A poetic urge

A Poem by andrew mitchell

When I grow up
I’m gonna write a poem
only to wreck it,
by tearing it
to shreds, ripping
its very heart out,
and stamping all over it
before throwing it all
into the bin
because I can.

Almost like an autopsy on a poem. Thanks J.
Andrew, I am a grown up and can relate to this. I might not stamp or tear up my poems if they don't go to plan, but I pick them to bits and they die a slow death :) And I say I am not a violent person :) Fun poem.
