The stick up!

Okay poetic lines
come out with your
words up in the air
we have your verses
completely surrounded.
Give yourself up!
Your stanzas are going no where.
Do you understand?
Say yes for yes and or
no for no.
Will I get Capital punishment?
No! It’s small font
for you pal.
What about my poetic adviser?
We will allocate
a thought for you
very soon enough.
If found guilty
it’s a full stop
of the poetry law for you.
Any question marks?
No, you sonnet b*****d!
Read him his lines and
take this scribble trash away.
But I’m innocent I tell you.
That’s what all the lines say.
You will be cremated
and your ashes
will be spread all
over somebody, anybody
who doesn’t read poetry.
Go! And take your title with you.
But….but……

Thank goodness there's a few smiles floating the Cafe atmosphere this morning! Hi em, thank you for reading. I was inspired by the Pink Floyd song The trial from the Wall album. Just love that track and so I wrote this personification of a poem just for a laugh.

Hang in there. It is never easy when a loved one is sick. Make sure you get the rest you need. You can’t help others if you get sick yourself from not taking proper care of yourself. I’ve seen it a lot in my life.
