Smile

Sad poem that's based off a dream I had.

I hide behind the smile on my face
The sadness behind my laughter
The fear behind my eyes
I'm happy
Only in the eyes of the beholder
But alone
All I see
Is a tear stained face
Of a sad girl that can never be replaced
By a real smile on her face

Author's Note

if any of you are wondering the dream was about someone wanting to meet me because his son liked my writing. He blamed me for making his son more depressed and that in turn made me blame myself, so when I finally met his son I ran up to him hugged him and crIed saying I was sorry over and over again. He must have expected a girl that only whore dark clothing and didn't smile because it looked like I ruined his image of me in his head. So for all of the people out there who think that all the sad people out there have to look sad, no they don't they can be just regular people hiding in plain sight.
