I must confess.

I must confess.

A Poem by amanda gott

I always gave you the best of me,
something you never truly earned.
I gave everything to you,
this is something I have learned.

I've just lost the fight in me,
the fight that kept me alive.
You've taken what you needed,
and left me here to die.

I was just a fool for you,
in a hopeless love i was lost.
After each I fall, I kept coming back,
no matter what the cost.

I'll pick up the pieces,
although I must confess.
I do enjoy the pain you caused,
throughout this beautiful mess.

I really enjoyed the message of this poem, as it is something that I can really relate to and it is comforting to know that others feel the same way. The language fit it well, but the way it was divided up felt somewhat choppy to me, and it lacked some of the flow I was hoping for. Overall though, i enjoyed it!
