Mia

Mia

A Poem by Amara Noelle
"

I'm currently recovering from bulimia and this poem expresses some of my feelings towards this horrible illness.

"
I have a special friend
Mia is her name
She just wants me to be skinny
And purging is her game

I have a special friend
She leads me to the bathroom
She pushes me onto my knees
"You don't wanna be fat, do you?"

I have a special friend
She's very nice to me
She just wants me to be perfect
Don't you see?

I have a special friend
She's losing all control
The pressure to be thin & fit in
Is torturing my soul

I hate my special friend
She's ruining my life
My face is swollen, throat is bloody
She makes me do this every single night.
