Scented Sweaters

Scented Sweaters

A Poem by Avocations of Amber
"

Mmmmm......... I love the smell of his cologne on those flannel shirts I wear to bed.....xoxo

"

The aroma of you is

like moss-laden woods,

It permeates pores

like a prized potion should

Saturate senses, my mythical muse

My suitor, my courter,

Your scents do infuse

In absence I lift up your sweater

and blush, as my mind

starts to relive

past moments of us

I breathe you

and fall for you

over again

Inhaling you gratifies

me deep within

This hunger

enamored by ballads of beau

a languishing stroll

through flirtations I know

Familiar are you,

Casablanca of charm

I am ardently pining

the feel of your arms

Enveloping me

in your vigorous need

A cavalier swooning

devoted to me

Cover yourself in

mahogany mist

and I'll bury my nose

in your neck with a kiss

Avocations of Amber
Probably missing important punctuation, but I don't really care.......it was a moment of reminiscing that I just wanted to capture in words....

and captured so well!
mahogany mist is not just a nice poeticism, but a fine detail.
i suppose scent and aroma is not such a well used vehicle for many poems. yet here you are, you've done a great job with it
