Ornaments of the Orient

Ornaments of the Orient

A Poem by Avocations of Amber
"

"she holds her fan of pearl and jade........" "in her geisha promenade....."

"

The snow-capped peaks

do glisten white,

The cherry trees glow pink.

The pristine waters

of the streams

do shine with morning light.

She holds her fan

of pearl and jade;

her body, cloaked in silk.

Her painted lips do

match the trees

in her geisha promenade.

With Ishtar's essence

and almond eyes,

like a dahlia with her grace.

Two coral combs sit

in her hair.

She's porcelain's disguise.
