Puget Rain

Puget Rain

A Poem by Anthony Devin Medeiros

Seattle wet pavement shows the mountains erupted again today,
Dragging their heavy gray soot overhead.
And in the air is a humidity,
That when I walk the streets
I notice that everything drips
As if the sky had burst and cried.
As if the puddles should explode in circles
But it is always like this
A mist
And if any one asks, just say,
"Rain," and watch them look up.
