Daddy’s Shoes

Daddy’s Shoes

A Poem by Amisha Sinha

As I walked into those hazel coloured shoes
which were half way back to my foot
what a pleasure it was to float on those boots
Taking each step grappling , a smile of triumph blossoming
"when will my foot fit this treasure"
was the only thought approaching
Pleasure of those shoes indeed enduring
Time rushed swiftly
that hazel charm dream was reality one dawn
it fits my breathe now
but was that the dream was the inquest now
it was not the size , it was it’s warmth
the loving warmth beneath them
that hazel charm will be desire forever
for it’s holder is God forever.

Nice poem Amisha
It depicts the love towards one's father.

Beautiful poem for Father's day. I can remember dancing with my Dad, standing on top of his shoes while he guided me with the steps. Those memories are treasure. You can't buy them. This is a wonderful offering which will span a life time.
