VIVA LA VIDA

VIVA LA VIDA

A Poem by Shweta Sunil

A collection of mere memories
The first journey
A journey,devoid of destination
A soul-less,immaculate divergence of thoughts.
Virgin minds,contaminated by actions not-so-divine.
Lose not your thought, my friend
Funny as it seems,you;
Cry as you leave the womb,
Cry as you reach the tomb.
The journey ends as it begins,
Close your eyes--
For you shall see
A new world that lay within
Come you did, unaware
Exit, you shall, with more than grief
Take down the armour and shed that fear,
For seldom do your eyes conceive
A green in autumn, yellow in spring.

I really liked your last line "a green in autumn, yellow in spring". I don't know why, but putting those different colors in a season would just add a little patch of weird into the mix and I love those little weird patches of life. This poem was very good, it had a very different perspective on life and I liked how you captured that. Thank you for sharing this with me.

Thankyou so much :))
I liked this. It really was like life in a rather surreal point of view. Very enjoyable.

Thankyou so much,Emily!
Powerful and good words. I liked them a lot.
"Take down the armour and shed that fear,
For seldom do your eyes conceive
A green in autumn, yellow in spring."
We must tear down walls of disappointment to see the Spring warm day and enjoy the change of color in the Fall. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
