LETTER

LETTER

A Poem by Shweta Sunil

Hollow words,broken promises
The letter,stained blue--
With tear-spoken love
Shoved into the throat of the helpless
The helplessly hopeful.
Floating aimlessly through the ripples
Of endless,unseen depths
In confinement of its crumbled self--
The story of some love, known by two
Had halted it's journey with itself
Devoid of the destination,
As it fought through the tiniest waves
To reach a love too late,
With a drizzle of brown dust
That took away the life
That it had,for when it seemed,
A million years ago.

I liked how you used the language. You expressed a story of love loss with gentleness. True love stayed with us in memory for lifetime. Thank you Shweta for sharing the excellent poetry.
