DELUSION

DELUSION

A Poem by Shweta Sunil

Painted in silver--
Glistening in golden rays,
For beauty bled through every dimension,
That found existence.
Only if you had not decided to look within,
If only you hadn't ripped it apart,
Letting the senile mind,think,
The beauty wouldn't last.
You wouldn't perceive the rotten heart,
Or the hideous truth,
That the silver held within.
If only, you hadn't tried to look beyond,
You could have lived in the false delusion, the
The delusion of beauty untrue.
