The One

The One

A Poem by Amy Cowan
"

A completely fictional little poem.

"
As I stand here under the moonlight.
Glistening like the sea
As tonight I met the one.
He's as special as can be.

I wish to revert back
To do it all again
Maybe I should be so lucky
As to be in his company again.

He's my one and only
The romeo to my Juliet
The sun over my clouds
Yet I've known him less than a day.

Oh, how it feels to be in love
To look at someone with such passion
To have and to hold them
Even for just a minute.

But, I may never meet him again
I never saw under his mask
Instead I stayed in my safe haven
And for that I've lost him forever.
