Couri Intrecciati

Couri Intrecciati

A Poem by Ashley Myers

Soft red petali di rosa
Make a path to your soul.
I follow the trail
To make myself whole.

You let amore in
without hesitation.
Your arms embrace me
Your yearnings are patient

The vasca da bagno
Is romantically lit.
Bathing in love
We bask and we sit.

The perfumo di calore
Infiltrates my skin.
I'm lost in the moment
I'm yours once again.

your kiss inebriante
as our bodies collide.
Two become one
My soul is your bride.

Tuo per sempre
Til the end of time.
Blessed with your love
Two hearts entwined.

I loved that you put in the Italian. It added some romance and rhythm that really upped this already beautiful poem. A mixing of the languages, like a mixing of two people. Lovely. Your rhymes were good, not hackneyed at all, and the movement was consistent, which is so rare in my readings. Very beautiful subject and expression. Loved it.

I lived in Italy so it's refreshing to read it in a love poem. After all, the Italians are the hottest lovers right?
