Life Goes On

How to deal with loss

Life dealt me a card I had to play.

It was unexpected and left me afraid.

And its lead me to a place where I’m forever stuck.

One minute it’s fine, the next it’s not.

How can a person move on from here?

Forced with these new eyes, yet nothing seems clear.

“Life goes on,” aye it’s true.

But it won’t be a life that I've happily been through.
