yuck

s****y poem to try to get over someone

it sucks because i’m alone

and i still feel your stain on my legs

it sucks because we never kissed

and i still remember all the times we almost did

it sucks because you’re name is tangled between my teeth

and i’m not sure mine’s as stuck in yours

but i’d like to think you know how this feels 

i hope your mind is racing and your heart is yearning always, 

i hope you never have a break

from nails digging into your palms

and butterflies swarming in your chest

because we’re one thousand miles away 

but i still feel you breathing down my neck

i hope the tears find your eyes

because it hurts to talk to you but it hurts more not to

i hope your body yearns

from the absence of my skin clashing with yours

i hope you are in pain, 

so i’d know we feel the same
