Closure

Closure

A Poem by ashkat

Closure is not the slamming door.

Closure is not the bitter, brutal end,
            The rattling hinge,

                 The echoing cracks,

                       The angry void.

Closure is not the angry retreat,
            The heavy footsteps,

                  The raised voices,

                        The acid tears.

Closure is not the promise of never again,
The final slump of defeat, depleted and drained of energy.

Closure is life quietly moving on.

i like the movement of this especially ..the form kind of cascades and tumbles over what closure is not ...then gently resolves in your .....closing ;) nice ..my only thought about changing anything is in the repetition of anger in this line "Closure is not the angry retreat," maybe something like cemented retreat ...or armored retreat ... just a thought ;)
i like your stuff .. going to subscribe and stay in touch .. glad to have met you! ...
