Evening Oceanside

Evening Oceanside

A Poem by The Anathematic Error

An angelic serenade rings
Across a serene ocean side
Sung by an orchestra of waves
Crashing on the cool, damp sand
The intricacy is so grand
It almost seems like it was by chance
Like by random circumstance
That it all came together

The air, salty and bitter
Could soothe the emotions
Of billions of lost souls
Of even the most aggressive nations
It is as if such an aroma
Could be felt through
Every other sense in my body

The sky is a vibrant canvas
Painted with a mixture
Of both sweet and bitter flavors
A refreshing pink lemonade
Surrounds a bright, shining orange
Setting down into the ocean
Purple wine sits on the horizon
Mixing with the sea and sky

This lucid landscape
Transforms into a hypnotic void
Dotted with a scattered assortment of glitter
Shining from the sky
With both an intense and gentle glow
This is neither sweet nor bitter
But so savory you become weightless

There is peace
No screaming, no guns, no blood
Just a single soul taking in the wonder
Of a landscape whose beauty will never decrease
There is peace
