I must sleep

Just a short poem about pains of immortality

I lost my face long time ago.
Countless distortions in the mirror.
Your eyes are dark and dead.
Just my imagination, they say.
And the night is terrifying,
For many stars have faded in the sky.
Is this my end, long awaited?

I think for some people that turning off the lights and going to sleep is very hard, especially if your dreams are frightening and the end looming. This reflects in our eyes, dark and dead. Eyes that never smile...
