mrs. tealight, my own

mrs. tealight, my own

A Poem by andy groe

it's sorrow i should find you this way,

amid a nod to the longing past,

and yet with cheer

that i watch you dance.

your simplicity burns brightly,

enough to inspire the world,

but for the moment

i'm choosing to take you in.

for my happiness now

could never be more.

so with patience i ask you to wait,

my own warmth will come,

and it shall never wane.
