Broken glass

I feel like I'm not alive anymore

I feel damaged and broken

Like someone had turned me into glass and hit me with a hammer

You can try to put me back together again

But the glue only holds for so long

Until it starts to unseal 

And it leaves me to fall on my own

Onto the cold hard ground 

Where you would step on me once more

And throw away the shards

That once meant something before
