My SisterA Poem by Angel
A charcoal pencil line melts into my sister’s beauty As I try to capture her breathing uniqueness on paper. The rusty image of pink painted toenails smiles at me From her favorite pair of tattered solid black flip flops. The different shades of black created by my tired pencil Freezes her portrait of gentleness for warriors to admire. Drawing the description of my big sister softens my core And allows me to observe virtue a little deeper than most. © 2010 AngelReviews
