My Sister

My Sister

A Poem by Angel

A charcoal pencil line melts into my sister’s beauty

As I try to capture her breathing uniqueness on paper.

The rusty image of pink painted toenails smiles at me

From her favorite pair of tattered solid black flip flops.

The different shades of black created by my tired pencil

Freezes her portrait of gentleness for warriors to admire.

Drawing the description of my big sister softens my core

And allows me to observe virtue a little deeper than most.

Breathtaking.....fabulous...touching....superb....I almost can't find words to describe this!

I can sense the love that you hold for your sister in this writing, and it is amazing.

As I continue to read more of your work, you seem to get better and better and to leave me in more awe than before.

Keep up the great work! :)
